Bill became associated with VRE when the company acquired Phoenix Airport Days Inn and the Airport Super 8 Hotel in Phoenix in 2004.  He continued to act as General Manager of both properties until they were sold in June 2007.  He now functions as GM of the Hampton Inn & Suites which was acquired in September 2007.  Bill's involvement in hotel management began in New Orleans in 1970 with Topeka Inn Management, then the largest holder of Holiday Inn franchises in the U.S.  A chosen move to Arizona in 1978 led to a career as Vice President of Mary Moppets Day Care, Inc., the first franchisor of child day care in the U.S.  In that capacity, Bill oversaw the nationwide development and leaseback of more than 80 newly constructed schools.  Bill returned to the hotel business in 1990 and has been active in the leadership of both local and national organizations serving the interest of the lodging industry.
